Back before Pinterest, back before wedding blogs took over the Internet and back before HGE even existed, there was a girl who fell in love with a boy. And that girl would do anything to marry that boy, making sure to infuse a few meaningful, playful and sassy details throughout their long awaited big day. Like black lace around her bouquet, adorned with the sweetest hummingbird brooch, a dessert dresser lovingly salvaged from the trash and repainted for the occasion, and in lieu of a memorial candle two giant peach balloons sent off to the heavens above where the woman who inspired it all was watching down. It wasn't the prettiest wedding of all, or the one with the biggest budget but it was inspired by what remains to be my favorite love story ever. Photography by Amanda Wilcher.
